Gas lifts – where do you use them?
Opening cabinets whose doors tilt vertically can be quite problematic. Such cabinets should open smoothly, safely and without great effort. That is why gas jacks are in use.
Gas lifts – where do you use them?
The use of gas lifts of various constructions allowed us to design and manufacture furniture with the use of interesting and practical solutions. For example, it is possible to make a classic bar with the door tilting down, or a tall kitchen cabinet with the door tilting upwards. The latter example is particularly representative here. Such cabinets allow for a much better use of space but were not practical before the use of actuators. Opening them without such a solution would require quite a lot of force and the need to hold the door in order to pull out or insert items makes the whole thing very uncomfortable. In addition, the door can suddenly fall down, hitting the person below it on the head. Gas jacks have solved all these problems. The door opens easily and does not suddenly fall down. In some types of such jacks there is also the possibility of using a lock.
What else is there to know?
Such a lift has quite an interesting construction. Inside there is a piston, which divides the elevator chamber into two parts. The gas which fills the chamber gets through the piston with difficulty, which makes the door fall down very slowly. Some types of elevators are constructed in such a way that the gas passes in one direction with less resistance (similarly to a bicycle pump), which makes the door rise very easily. In many models gas is used in combination with oil, which significantly improves work. Some jacks also have the possibility to lock in a chosen position. It is also worth noting, that such lifts differ in power and should be selected according to the type of furniture, in which they are used.
